So in about 1996 sometime I heard about linux and tried it -- it so happens that debian was the first version that i installed -- after getting most stuff working I tried a lot of other flavors (redhat being what was used at intelligenesis/webmind) until coming back to the rock which has always been an all debian shop -- now i'm really happy with debian, running unstable on my laptop (and booting into that about 90% of the time my laptop is running, it also dual-boots into xp-pro).
