I don't claim to be perfect, but in terms of respect for others, this is one area I do fairly well.  Others not so much.  So this note is not so much for me as it is for you.  There's nothing to be scared of.  So what that others enjoy things that you don't want to think about?  Why should you care?

I find it interesting that I have not desire or motivation at all to be tolerant of homophobic people.   In reality this stance probably comes all the way from the prisoner's dillema (that if my goal is to be tolerant, the one thing I don't have to be tolerant of is others that are intolerant).  But in the end I suppose even that's wrong and I should get past that personal issue of mine.  But for the moment I'm going to knowingly compromise (on the suspicion that I may only have just so much tolerance in me and so wasting it on undeserving folk definitely seems counterproductive).
