the kiln burns

temps are from last couple months over summer -- water has been out of the tank for the past month or so too (as I thought the goldfish had died -- when I pumped it down (trying to empty it) I found that there was a goldfish swimming madly away from the pump at the bottom so I left a little water (6" or so))

so i have a 2nd pond-liner that I'd really like to get in place in the bigger tank today or tomorrow -- and the little south window needs to be sealed too -- but the wood-fired kiln is burning at Simon's Rock, which is an awesome thing if you're close enough to stop by to see, so I don't know if I'll get all my planned chores at home accomplished this weekend

drizzly morning

it'd be good to not have to enter temps manually anymore here in this blog

I think I'm getting close (within a year or so?) of making some sort of automatic data collection on that front (temp, perhaps humidity, precip, etc..) a reality.

But who knows, lots of other irons are in the fire.

So it has occurred to me recently that there are four things that I really need most to work on:

  • tolerance
  • discipline
  • attention
  • responsibility

It's a pretty complete prescription for me in the medium to long term.  Perhaps after doing a little better (or hopefully a lot better?) with the above some other things will also become apparent.  So there's nothing special about the number 4.
