this accounts for the lower min temp (i'm pretty sure the last couple days haven't been colder than it was earlier in Dec)
but getting the thermometer a couple feet up above the tank (instead of sitting right next to it like it was previously) should give a more accurrate picture of the "extremes" (and will more closely register the effects on plants that are away from the water tank)
We still have had no measureable snow at all yet (which is a drag, but...)
