the sound of the snow under my feet in the frigid weather or perhaps the sound of the interior of the gh taking a very hard frost -- sometimes I think that I'm a bit too stubborn for my own good (by not having any auxiliary heat available at all, it means that I couldn't provide the little bit of help last night -- but my reason for not giving in is that if I had something to provide a "little help" it wouldn't just be turned on only last night, but probably quite often during the cold winter nights and I really don't want to expend that extra energy (at least until we stop driving the suburban as a commuter vehicle))
the water tank may have been a little warmer earlier (as I didn't check it until after 8PM when i got home from skiing)
