storm last night not only knocked power out (from 10 pm yesterday to 6 pm today), but it also took off the top of the pine tree that had the crows nest in it, so the poor little buggers probably didn't make it (I doubt that 2-3 weeks old could possibly be long enough to have fledged out enough to survive a 60 foot fall and be able to get to safety) -- pump was off all day (no power), so the temp in the water tank dropped during the day
